Place any order on the FastVision Network and you will be prompted to create a FastVision Network account automatically.

Once your website has been created you will need to upload your site to our servers by using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client.

A domain name is a unique name that identifies your site on the Internet. Every website on the Internet has one, as well as every email address. Domains are human readable Internet addresses, for example: www.fastvision.net

The owner of the domain (also known as the domain registrant) should be the person or business that the domain is being registered for.

Please make sure you enter correct details for registrant as in many cases the domain registrant cannot be changed after the domain has been registered.

IMAP (also known as the Internet Mail Access Protocol) is a system used to retrieve mail, where the mail resides on the mail server instead of in your e-mail client (i.e. Microsoft Outlook).

This allows you to use multiple computers to check your mail while keeping them in synchronisation with your mailbox.

FastVision offers full IMAP functionality with every UniteMail and FastVision Hosting package.

In the same way that web pages are sent unencrypted by default, so the contents of the your e-mail message are unencrypted whilst in transit from your computer to our mail servers. In the same way that SSL protects your web traffic by encrypting it throughout its journey, so POP3S (secure POP3) and IMAPS (secure IMAP) protects your e-mail messages from being possibly intercepted whilst in transit.

No, your FastVision package is fully functional and powerful without having to use the FastVision API. Reselling on your package can also be performed via the FastAdmin Web Control Panel, allowing you to process orders and make account changes when you need to.

You do not need to sign-up to get the ability to resell or automate your account. You simply need to purchase one of the products from the FastVision Network. This will give you access to our FastAdmin Web Control Panel and API which you can use to integrate into your site.

If you have an a domain with another hosting company but wish to take advantage of the services provided by the FastVision Network you will need to configure your domain to use the FastVision nameservers.

These are ns.fastvision.net (77.73.72.70), ns1.fastvision.net (77.73.72.71) and ns2.fastvision.net (77.73.72.72).

Using the API you can perform almost any action that you could normally on the FastVision Network. Some of these are shown below:

• Create. manage and delete user accounts
• Manage domain registration details and hosting package
• Administer your mailboxes, databases, forwarders, FTP users, and more
• Submit domain registration requests and place orders

An API toolkit is a set of libaries written for your language. These toolkits allow you to utilise all aspects of the FastVision Reseller functionaility without having to deal with the protocol/technical aspects of the FastVision API; in a way that is natural to your language. We offer a full PHP toolkit (with documentation), details on which can be found by clicking here. We also offer Java and C# toolkits although these are currently undergoing beta testing.

API stands for Application Programming Interface. It is a mechanism (interface) for directly integrating our services and functionality into your website/applications. We offer an API to allow you to integrate your website with the FastVision Network allowing automated requests to our systems. It operates via XML over secure HTTP. You would use our API to integrate your order processes and control mechanisms with the FastVision Network so that you would not have to use the FastAdmin Web Control Panel to process orders or make changes.

Our core API uses XML over secure HTTP, so any language that supports secure HTML can use our API. However if you do not want to write your own toolkit, we also provide custom toolkits for Java, C# and PHP.

Our API is targeted at web hosting resellers and companies. Resellers are able to register domains and our packages in real-time, and manage their products effectively. Organisations can use our API to integrate their FastVision Network products into their network infrastructure.

All your details are protected in transit using 1024-bit SSL encryption technology. SSL protects your details in transit; preventing interception from any third-parties.

Verified-by-Visa is a new anti-fraud system recently introduced by Visa for all Visa Credit and Visa Debit customers. If your card is enrolled in the Verified-by-Visa program, then, after you click the 'Place Order' button a window will appear from your issuing bank, asking you either enter your Verified-by-Visa password, or, if you do not already have a Verified-by-Visa password, to create a new password. FastVision aggregates each affiliates total commissions earned each month, and if this amount exceeds the minimum payout, FastVision sends a cheque (or direct deposit) via the assigned affiliate network in the affiliates designated currency.

When a cheque is issued to an affiliate, it is for the previous month's transactions. Until a affiliate's account balance reaches the minimum payout, FastVision rolls over the previous month's earnings into the following month. This means that after a withdrawal is made to process a cheque, the money that has been earned during the current month will remain in the account.

Affiliates may choose to receive their payments through a cheque in the mail or, if they are a resident of the U.S. or Canada, through direct deposit to a designated bank account.
